Wildflowers of Nova Scotia

The Wildflowers of Nova Scotia series was inspired my friend Tim Young's archive of wildflower photographs. His job as a forester has him  daily walking through the forests of Nova Scotia. When he encounters interesting wildflora he photographs it. A number of years ago, Tim, and his partner, Belinda, assisted me in starting a big project, building an artist's retreat in Nova Scotia. It became clear early on that this project would be rather expensive, and we needed to raise some funds. Seeing Tim's work it occured to me that producing a series of paintings inspired by his photographs would make a good fundraiser for the retreat. Tim graciously offered his images from which I produced (so far) a series of 54 paintings.

All Wildflower  paintings are  oil on  100 lb. watercolor paper,23.5x31cm  & are $300. Cdn. unless otherwise stated.
